Classes of Licences

The Council may issue 4 classes of licences:

• Artificial Insemination by Husband (AIH) Licence
• Treatment Licence
• Research Licence
• Storage Licence

An AIH licence, treatment licence or research licence may also permit storage of gametes or embryos used or intended to be used in the relevant activities authorized under the licence. Centres carrying out AIH, providing RT treatments or undertaking research do not have to apply for a separate storage licence.
